2DFD and classic findom
Classic findom has a real person behind the dom. 2DFD has a drawing. Face, voice, anonymity, content and risk change. The money doesn’t.

Evidence
In 30 seconds
- Classic findom has a real person behind it, often with photos, video and voice. 2DFD has a drawn or generated character.
- The drawing protects the dom’s face and voice. It doesn’t protect her payout, and it doesn’t make her anonymous.
- For the sub, the risk moves from stolen photos to trust: nobody can check a drawing.
- Counts of sends, followers and pictures say little about money.
- The money is real in both. Ask early whether a dominant character expects any.
You will learn
- Where classic findom and 2DFD look the same, and where they differ.
- What a drawn dom gains and what she gives up.
- Why counts of sends, followers and pictures mislead.
- Why the old advice to check a photo doesn’t work anymore.
- How to tell a dominant character who wants money from one who doesn’t.
In classic findom a real woman puts her face and voice on the line. I put a drawing there instead. That changes who’s exposed and to what. It doesn’t change what a send is.

Same exchange, new mask
FindomfindomFinancial domination, a fetish where a person gets pleasure from giving money to an online dom. Researchers describe a findomme being paid in cash or in wishlist gifts. It’s consensual play around money, and a promise made in a scene is part of the play and buys nothing. Anything you sign, borrow or owe is real, and this wiki gives no legal advice. in its classic form has a real person behind the dom. Researchers describe findommes who get paid in cash or in wishlist gifts, a practice they call rinsingrinsingGiving a findomme money, in cash or in wishlist gifts. Researchers use the word for the practice in which a findomme is paid this way. A domme interviewed by the press says clients ask to be rinsed or squeezed. The word suggests emptying someone out, and the money that leaves the account is real even when the word is play.. 2DFD2DFDOnline findom with a 2D persona in place of a real person’s face and voice, and whoever runs her stays out of sight. Most people read it as “2D findom”, but that’s a guess, because no glossary spells it out. Doms often put the label in their display name or bio, and if it’s missing, the dom may be playing a role without asking for money. keeps the exchange, the titles and the scene, and takes out the real face and voice. The old advice shows what changed. In classic findom, press reports describe scammers who post stolen photos of attractive women. ReportedStated by a serious secondary source read in full.Financial Domination Has a Scamming Problem (opens in a new tab) Accessed 3 November 2026. Subs are told to run a web and image search on a domme before paying. Even then, one interviewee said there’s no foolproof way to screen out scammers. ReportedStated by a serious secondary source read in full. The Curse of the Fake Financial Dominatrix (opens in a new tab) Accessed 3 November 2026. With a drawn character, the same search finds the art and never the person, so a match proves nothing about who runs her. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. See Spot a fake dom.
Same goes for proof of identity. You can check a real face with a photo or a video. You can’t check a drawing. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. If a persona charges you for a “verification”, be very careful. See The verification fee.
What a drawn dom gains and gives up
What she gains
- There’s no photo, face or voice left behind to leak, recognise or trace. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
- Content can be made in volume, and a team can keep the character consistent. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
- The character can be redrawn, retired or replaced. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
What she gives up
- Trust. Nobody can check a drawing, so everything she says about her life is part of a role. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
- Cover when she gets paid. Payment companies tie a payout to a legal identity, with documents, a registered activity and a bank account. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
- Part of the audience. Some followers dislike AI art, and creators say it hurts their reach. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. There’s no data on how much. UnverifiedPlausible, not proven yet.
Showing less doesn’t make her anonymous. A careless line in a bio, a reused username or a payment record can still lead back to a person. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
The numbers game
Picture counts mislead the same way. A drawn dom can make hundreds of images. That tells you how fast she works and nothing about what she earns. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
A free tool still has money behind it. Some makers give tools away to get attention. The tool sits inside a business anyway, because the money comes in through sends and wishlists somewhere else. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. What a tool costs and what the game costs you are two different things. Ask what the tool does, on which site, and what it counts. See Techdom.
Closeness is part of the product
Some personas sell the relationship first. They say they form real bonds, unlike doms who only want money. A drawn dom can be warm at any hour, in every time zone, with lots of people at once, because a team or a tool can sit behind the voice. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
Warmth can be honest, and it can also be what the business runs on. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. The question is whether the act is steering your spending. If the friendship is why you send, ask yourself whether you’d still send without it. See Before your first send.
A dominant character you like
A persona you follow is stern and warm and asks for nothing in her posts. You’d like to be on her good side. What do you do?
- Correct. Some dominant characters are pure roleplay and expect nothing. Ask before you send anything, and accept the answer.
- Silence isn’t an answer. You might find out later, at a worse moment.
- A tribute guarantees nothing. It can also tell her money is welcome, and you can’t take a send back.
Myth and fact
Myth
More pictures mean more money.
Fact
The amount of content tells you how fast a persona works. A few payers carry most of the money, and more art doesn’t bring more payers. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
Myth
A dom without a face can’t be traced.
Fact
Showing less doesn’t make her anonymous. Payouts, bios and reused names can still point to a person. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
Myth
Generated art is safe because no real face is shown.
Fact
A generated character can copy a real person’s look without consent, and a character taken from an existing game carries rights risks. Every persona has to be an adult in looks and setting, whatever the lore says. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

Remember it

- The drawing protects face and voice. It doesn’t make the dom anonymous.
- Nobody can check a drawing, so trust is the sub’s main risk.
- A count of sends, followers or pictures says little about money.
- Set your limit before you play, in both forms. The money is real in both.
