  • 2DFD is findom with a drawn or generated persona. You never see a real face or hear a real voice.
  • She’s fiction. Your money, your time and your feelings are real.
  • A tribute guarantees nothing, and nobody can make a dom keep a promise made in a scene.
  • The drawing mostly protects the dom. You can’t know who’s behind it.
  • Set your own limit before you play, and stick to it.

You will learn

The short definition

2DFD2DFDOnline findom with a 2D persona in place of a real person’s face and voice, and whoever runs her stays out of sight. Most people read it as “2D findom”, but that’s a guess, because no glossary spells it out. Doms often put the label in their display name or bio, and if it’s missing, the dom may be playing a role without asking for money. is online findom with a 2D personapersonaThe character a dom plays. It has a name, a look, a voice, rules and limits, and it keeps the real person apart. The persona is a performance, but the feelings of the people who meet her are real.. She has a name, a look, a way of writing and a set of rules. Somebody writes her, and you’ll almost never know who. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

FindomfindomFinancial domination, a fetish where a person gets pleasure from giving money to an online dom. Researchers describe a findomme being paid in cash or in wishlist gifts. It’s consensual play around money, and a promise made in a scene is part of the play and buys nothing. Anything you sign, borrow or owe is real, and this wiki gives no legal advice. itself, short for financial domination, is a fetish where someone gets pleasure from giving money to a dom online. The drawing mostly protects the dom. There’s no face, photo or voice to steal, recognise or blackmail her with. The risk just moves. For the dom, it moves to payment platforms and social accounts, which can close or freeze. For you, it moves to trust: you can’t know who’s behind her, and her life story is part of the role. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

Why a drawn dom

For a sub, a drawn dom is a fantasy no real person’s life gets in the way of. She never has a bad day on camera, never ages and has no private life to wonder about. For a dom, the character is a mask nobody can steal, and art can be made in volume in a way photos can’t. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

That also makes a character easy to copy and fake. In classic findom, press reports describe scammers using stolen photos of women. ReportedStated by a serious secondary source read in full.Financial Domination Has a Scamming Problem (opens in a new tab) Accessed 3 November 2026. In 2DFD they use stolen or generated art, so a beautiful character proves nothing about who runs her. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. See Spot a fake dom.

What a 2DFD persona usually offers

A 2DFD persona offers some of these, rarely all of them. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  • TributestributeA payment offered to a dom as homage. A domme interviewed by the press describes tribute as unconditional rather than a fee. A tribute buys nothing, and nobody can enforce a promise made in a scene. and sendssendA payment from a sub to a dom, often by buying a wishlist item. Informal forms are sends and sendies. The press calls a payment made without a session a silent tribute. A send buys nothing, and in practice you can’t get it refunded.: gifts from a wishlistwishlistA public list of gifts a creator accepts. Researchers describe findommes being paid in wishlist gifts. In the scene it works as a price menu and the main route for sends, and the wishlist platform has its own terms and a fee., sent as homage. See Tributes, sends and wishlists.
  • TechdomtechdomDominance through technology, like extensions, apps or tools, so the dom earns without putting in live effort each time. It’s a game between consenting adults, always with a limit, a wait and a stop the sub controls. Remote access is never part of the game.: tools the sub installs that act for the dom, always with a limit and a stop he controls. See Techdom.
  • GamedomgamedomDominance through games, like tasks, orders given while the sub plays, or play that involves his game account. A game account is access like any other, so handing it over is never part of the game.: play around games and game accounts. See Gamedom.
  • Hypno and edits: looping images, spirals and captions. See Hypno and edits.
  • Games and casino play: games where the house wins, best played with fictional chips. See Games and casino play.
  • Roleplay, lore and collabs: a story around the character, and events with other doms. See Roleplay, lore and collabs.
  • Tasks and customs: small orders, and content made on request. See Tasks, customs and private sessions.

Not every dominant character wants money. Some personas are pure roleplay and expect nothing, so ask early whether money is part of it. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

What stays real

A tribute guarantees nothing. A tribute is a gift for a moment of play, and once it’s sent, it’s gone. A dom can promise you anything. Nothing forces her to deliver. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

Send because you want to. Never because something was promised.

A few people bring in most of the money. In my experience, most doms earn little, and most of the money in the scene comes from a small number of subs, often at their worst: late at night, after a relapse, in a burst they regret. A business that lives on those moments has a reason to want them back. Keep that in mind when a dom is very warm. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

The harm is real. Press reports include people who took on debt and second jobs to keep paying, and others who said the emotional damage of being scammed was worse than losing the money. ReportedStated by a serious secondary source read in full.[a former participant] has seen men left broke and hungry from ‘paying women to talk to them’ (opens in a new tab) Accessed 3 November 2026.Financial Domination Has a Scamming Problem (opens in a new tab) Accessed 3 November 2026.

Consent keeps it a game. Findom is a fantasy two adults choose. When one of them can’t choose anymore, because of debt, because they can’t stop, or because they’re drunk or exhausted, it’s no longer a game. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

The four rules

  1. Adults only

Every character is an adult, with nothing childlike in her looks or setting, whatever the story says. Every player is an adult too. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  2. Set a limit

Pick your limit while you’re calm, before you play. Then make it real outside your own head: a spending limit on your card, a friend who knows the number, an app that blocks payments above it. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  3. A stop that always works

Any tool or game has to stop the moment you ask, at no cost and without delay. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  4. Your private details stay private

Keep your passwords, login codes, remote access, real name and address to yourself. A real dom never needs them. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  • Myth

Behind a drawn dom there’s a woman who looks like her.

    Fact

She’s a role. You don’t know who runs her, and her life story is part of the fiction. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  • Myth

A big tribute buys you a place, a promise or a reply.

    Fact

A tribute guarantees nothing. A dom may be kind, but nothing in the game can be enforced. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  • Myth

A drawn dom is anonymous, so everything around her is anonymous too.

    Fact

Payment platforms tie a dom’s payout to a real legal identity. Her anonymity ends there. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

  1. Question 1 of 3In 2DFD, what’s drawn?

Answer. The dom’s face, voice and life story. The persona is fiction. The money, the time and the consent are real.

  2. Question 2 of 3What does a tribute buy?

Answer. Nothing but the moment. A tribute is a gift. Nothing forces a dom to keep a promise made in a scene.

  3. Question 3 of 3A persona asks for your password to prove your trust. What do you do?

Answer. Refuse, because a real dom never needs it. Access to your accounts is never part of the game. That exact request is how a lot of scams start.
