Tributes, sends and wishlists
A tribute is a gift, a send is one click, and a wishlist is the menu behind both. Here’s what each one is, what the wishlist platform says about it, and where the pressure comes in.

Evidence
This chapter is not advice for your situation.
In 30 seconds
- A tribute is a gift. It buys no service and no promise, and nobody can make her keep one.
- A wishlist is a price menu. The names and prices on it shape what you send.
- Fees, names and messages follow the platform’s rules, not the dom’s.
- Pressure during a send evening follows patterns, and each one has an answer.
- Pick your number before the evening, make it real outside your own head, and keep a way to stop that always works.
You will learn
- What a tribute, a send, a cash gift and a wishlist are.
- What the wishlist platform’s own help pages say about gifts, fees and privacy.
- How a send evening goes, and which nudges to refuse.
- How to set a limit that holds, and how to raise it safely.
- Which kinds of tribute aren’t money.
Everything in this chapter comes down to one habit: you pick your number before the evening, never during it.

A tribute buys nothing
A tributetributeA payment offered to a dom as homage. A domme interviewed by the press describes tribute as unconditional rather than a fee. A tribute buys nothing, and nobody can enforce a promise made in a scene. is money or a gift you give a dom as homage. A sendsendA payment from a sub to a dom, often by buying a wishlist item. Informal forms are sends and sendies. The press calls a payment made without a session a silent tribute. A send buys nothing, and in practice you can’t get it refunded. is one act of giving: one link, one amount, one click. A wishlistwishlistA public list of gifts a creator accepts. Researchers describe findommes being paid in wishlist gifts. The wishlist ladder and what it costs
A wishlist is a price menu. Items have themed names and sit on a ladder from a token amount to a very large one. In my experience a ladder runs from about USD 1.00 to about USD 1,000.00, with one gift and one link per rung. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
What each rung does to you
Scroll the table sideways
| Rung | Typical name | Effect on you |
|---|---|---|
| Bottom | A coffee | Feels like nothing |
| Middle | A dinner | Where a lot of evenings end up, in my experience |
| Upper | A clothing piece | The name makes a big number feel like a small gesture |
| Top | A very large gift | Rarely used in my experience, but it makes every lower rung look small |
That table comes from the ladders I’ve seen. Nobody has measured it. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.

Count the fee when you pick your number. What leaves your account isn’t what reaches her. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
How a send evening pushes you
A send evening has a set shape, and knowing it protects you more than anything else. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. There’s more in How an evening goes.
What you’ll see from your side
The dom opens with a teaser or a short command.
She posts one item link at a time, sometimes with an image.
You click, pay and confirm.
She answers with attention: praise, a pet name, an image.
The next link arrives.
She sets the pace, and the reward often comes late or only partly. That little delay keeps you waiting for the next send. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. Techdom and Games and casino play are built on the same rhythm.
Some of what she does inside that rhythm is pressure. Here it is, so you can spot it and say no. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
| What they say or do | The counter |
|---|---|
| The links stop and you must beg for the next | A made-up shortage makes the next send feel worth more. Your number stays the same. |
| Praise for a small send, then a hint you could give more | That’s a sales line. If she names your balance, the money part is over. |
| After one session you’re told you owe a round figure | There’s no debt unless you agreed to one in advance. Leave. |
| A promised image is held back until you send more | If a reward was promised for a send, it was part of that send. Stop sending. |
| A dare where you can only lose | A bet with no prize for winning is just a payment. Say no, or set the price first. |
| A caption saying your rent paid for her scene | That’s theatre. Your rent is still yours. |
| A public tally or ranking of sends | A ranking rewards spending, not devotion. Don’t read a rank as income or wealth. |
| An image aimed at a taste you named, sent after you said no | You can refuse. A dom who cares asks first. |
These patterns come from my field notes. There’s no count of how often each one happens.
Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.More patterns, with the full answer to each, are in Pressure tactics, both ways. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
Set a limit and keep it
Your limitlimitA spending limit picked by the person who pays, while calm, before the session. It’s held outside your own head, in a server that enforces it, a bank limit or a trusted person, and it only goes up after a cooldown. A limit typed in the middle of a session is weak, and a limit is a ceiling, never a target. comes first. It’s the most you’ll send, and you pick it yourself, calmly, before the evening. A limit you pick in the middle of a session is weak, because the session is built to push it up. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
Set a limit that holds
Pick the number while you’re calm, from money you could lose without missing it. Never from borrowed money, rent or savings.
Add the fees, so the number is the total that leaves your account.
Make the limit real outside your own head: a bank limit, a separate account, or a person you trust.
Raise it only after a waitcooldownA fixed wait that has to pass before a decision to spend, or to raise a limit, kicks in. It lets a calm decision overrule an excited one, and a day is a good length for any decision pushed by a deadline. A tool can enforce a cooldown as a minimum gap between payments. of a night or more, never during an evening.
Know how you’ll stop before you start: close the chat, mute the dom, leave the page. It has to cost nothing and work straight away.
If you run a wishlist, you have your part to do. Name your rungs honestly, don’t keep a public tally of sends, never name a sub’s balance, and end the money part when a sub says money is short. Doing it safely often means earning less, and I’ll say that openly. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
If spending is already hard to stop, go to The spiral and Breaks that hold before the next evening. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. If it’s already hurting you, see Where to get help.

Tribute that isn’t cash
Tribute doesn’t have to be money. A wallpaper, a written message, fan art, a generated image or an in-game gift all count as devotion in the scene. A dom can give you work instead of asking for money, and a skill is often the safer way to belong. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study.
Physical gifts come with practical problems, like overseas shipping, a proxy or a seller who’s stopped selling, so check before you promise. Vivian’s field notesFirst-hand experience, not a study. Work and customs are covered in Tasks, customs and private sessions.
Your budget is spent
You set USD 50.00 for the month and it’s gone. A dom you like hints that you could do more. What do you offer?
- Your limit held. A tribute can be small and still be real.
- Borrowed money is where the harm starts. A limit that bends once isn’t a limit.
- The total is the total. Splitting it changes nothing.
- Unpaid work needs terms: you set the scope, you can refuse, and you get thanked.
